Our Beliefs
Restoring His saints to the work of ministry
It is the vision of Living Free Ministries to be an instrument of hope to those caught in the bondages of addiction and to see individuals, and their families, restored to a life of hope and freedom through a lasting relationship with Jesus Christ.

We believe that the Christian approach to drug and alcohol addiction is the most effective in producing life-changing results. We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God that directs us to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Once an addicted person has the experience of a "New Birth in Christ" they achieve much more than sobriety. We believe that it is a loving, permanent relationship with a loving God that promises the freedom from addiction that can last a lifetime.

We also believe that biblical family counseling is a vital part of the overall reconciliation
process. The immediate family is greatly affected by the addiction and desperately needs
healing and restoration. By ministering to the entire family and encouraging each member
to develop their own relationship with God, they are able to rebuild healthy
relationships with one another. With God at the center, they can begin their regenerated
lives together.
About Us
Living Free Ministries was established in 2008 by Jay and Christie Doss. Jay and Christie are natives of Alamance County and members of The Lamb's Chapel in North Carolina. They followed the Lord's call to a place called Dunklin Memorial Camp in Okeechobee, Florida where they began their training for Recovery Ministry. Dunklin is an established Drug and Alcohol Regeneration Ministry with over 47 years experience, as well as an International Training Center.

After training, the Doss Family moved back to North Carolina and are living in Snow Camp at Living Free Ministries with their four children; Jordan, Kayla, Logan, and Payton. Jay and Christie just want to love God and love people!

The Doss Family
The O'Rourke Family
Nick and Jenn O'Rourke joined our staff in June, 2011. They also met the Dosses at Dunklin Memorial Camp while they were in training. They have four young children; Joy, Solomon, Avery, and Justice. Nick completed the program at Dunklin in 2008 and  continued to stay on for another year in Servant Leadership Training. Nick and Jenn trained for 6 months after that in Staff Training at Dunklin.

Their hearts are for Family Recovery ministry and to give back where the Lord has blessed them. They can testify to the hopeless being restored through the Lords miraculous intervention in their own marriage.

Andrew Treadwell joined Living Free Ministreis in the fall of 2011. He's originally from Burlington, North Carolina but has lived in south Florida for the past seven years. He has also struggled with past addiction and reahed out for help from Cross Training Ministries (CTM) in LaBelle, Florida.  CTM is a Christian drug and alcohol regeneration program, also birthed out of Dunklin, for young men ages 18-24.

Andrew is our onsite "house man" which means that he lives in the house with the men in the program to supervise and lead them in every day life. He serves at Living Free Ministries to continue to give to others the help that was given to him.
